Double-D-Art is my artist name which I, Désirée Dekkers, use to sign my pastelpaintings.
My passion is to paint and draw with the versitile medium pastel.
Painting with pastel is a special technique and for me it is the way to express my creativity.
Due to the fact that pastel is made of pure pigments, it has a large range of sparkling colours and it is a fantastic material to work with.
The themes of my paintings vary from intimate to exuberant. All are characterised by striking use of colour.
Each painting is unique and reveals the passion and emotion with which they were made by me.
Because I only work with materials of a high quality, each painting remains in top condition for decades. So you can continue to enjoy a beautiful and unique painting.
My paintings are sold in the Netherlands and also abroad, till example in Canada and Sweden.
